Shaggy and Rik Rok’s huge hit It Wasn’t Me is the #1 selling R&B single in the UK of the 2000s! It also is the highest selling non-tv shows single of the decade and the #1 selling single of 2001. The Shaggy & Rayvon single Angel is in the top selling singles of 2001 as well and comes in at #10. Wow, what an achievement!

Shaggy & Friends concert
The Shaggy & Friends concert in benefit of the Bustamente Hospital for Children took place last weekend at the Lawns of Jamaica House. The event started with an auction, after which Shaggy, Boyz II Men, Mario Winans, Joe, Machel Montano HD, Beenie Man, Baby Trish, Toots Hibbert, Ce’Cile, Alaine, Tessanne Chin, Mikal Rose, T.O.K., Sanchez, Mavado, Bounty Killer, Cham, Queen Ifrica, Chevaughn, Ding Dong, Ity & Fancy Cat, Dr Michael Abrahams, Blakka Ellis and many more were on stage. According to attendees, the concert was overall a huge success!
All proceeds of the concert will go to the Bustamente Hospital for Children, which is the only pediatric hospital in the West Indies. It lacks the resources to provide adequate care for sick children. By attending the hospital or contributing otherwise you can support this worthy cause! More info.

Big Yard recording artist Christopher Martin represented the Shaggy Make a Difference Foundation in Deal or No Deal, a Digicel tv show in which contestants can try to win a lot of money. Here’s more info about the upcoming 2010 Shaggy & Friends concert! The concert is a huge event in benefit of the Bustamente Hospital for Children in Kingston, Jamaica, which is the only pediatric children’s hospital in the West Indies. Its facilities to provide adequate care for sick children are stretched to the limit due to a lack of resources. Although Shaggy has made significant contributions to the hospital over the years, the Bustamante Hospital for Children is still in need of assistance.
The Shaggy & Friends concert which will take place on the lawns of Jamaica House on January 2, will feature Shaggy with special guests Joe, Mario Winans, Boyz II Men, Mykal Rose, Beenie Man, Baby Cham, Queen Ifrica, Ding Dong, Toots Hibberts, Busy Signal, Tanya Stephens, T.O.K., Alaine, Ce’Cile, Machel Montano, Sanchez and many more!

It looks like Shaggy will perform in Italy this month!
Shaggy, Rayvon, Gibraltar Music (this is Shaggy’s tour manager Paul “Rossi” Lee, I guess, Shaggy started out as a dj on this sound system!), Golden Bass and High Grade will perform at the Demodè Disco Club in Bari on November 26.
Shaggy will play Teatro Palapartenope / Casa della Musica in Napoli, Italy on November 27, according to Go2 and Campania Tickets, as well as Rastasnob.
Shaggy, Rayvon, Golden Bass and the Groove Society Band will do a concert at the Leoncavallo in Milan on November 28.

Street Bullies Riddim Mix video
A music video clip was shot for the Street Bullies Riddim! The video features Shaggy, Red Foxx, Christopher Martin, Ce’Cile and Vybz Kartel and was directed by Jay Will for Game Over Films. Carleene Samuels was the producer and the video was edited by I.AM.THE.KRITIK.
The video takes the viewers back to dancehalls from 1984 to 2009. First up in the video is Shaggy with Long Time. Then it’s Red Foxx ‘s turn with Bounce, followed by Chris Martin Vibe is Right, Ce’Cile Nah Stress and Vybz Kartel Slow Motion. You can watch the new video below!
Shaggy receives the Gleaner Honour Award!
The Jamaica Gleaner presented Shaggy with the Gleaner Honour Award for excellence in the category of voluntary service, for his extensive charity work for the Bustamente Hospital for Children. On October 28 the launch of Shaggy and Friends I Dare You 2010 was held. A new Shaggy & Friends charity concert will be organized in 2010!
On January 1, a celebrity pre-party will be organized, featuring local artists, and on January 2 a new Shaggy & Friends charity concert will be organized! Papa San, Tanya Stephens, Michael Rose, Queen Ifrica, Sanchez, Ce’Cile, Toots Hibbert, Ding Dong, Cham, Machel Montano, Half Pint, Busy Signal, Beenie Man, US singer Joe and Ali Campbell (the former UB40 frontman) will perform!
Also, a book will be published later this year about the activities of the Shaggy Make a Difference Foundation.

Shaggy to the Raggamuffin Festival 2010
Shaggy will return to the Raggamuffin Festival in Australia and New Zealand in 2010! The Shakti Love Fest is a charity event that was organized on October 3 in association with the Shaggy Make a Difference Foundation for the benefit of the Bustamente Hospital for Children. Shakti Love Fest on October 3
Shaggy will be at the Shakti Love Fest. The Shakti Love Fest is a charity event which will take place on October 2-4 in Kingston, Jamaica. It is hosted by the Shaggy Make a Difference Foundation, the Shakti Mind Body Fitness and Ocean Spray Wata and includes yoga, spinning, live music and more.
