Shaggy attended the Echo Awards in Germany last night! He handed out the Best Hip Hop/Urban Award to Casper and he joined Tim Bendzko on stage for a special live remix of his hit “Nur noch kurz die Welt retten”, which many say was one of the highlights of the awards show!

Shaggy will be on TVJ at 7 A.M. EST this morning!

NBC Today hosts Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb will co-host a special edition of TVJ’s Smile Jamaica today between 6 and 8.30 A.M. on TVJ. You can watch the special show live on TVJ or online in this live stream! Segments of the show will be broadcast on the Today Show on NBC in May and the entire show will be posted on the Today show’s website. The Smile Jamaica / NBC Today Show will highlight some of the dynamic talents in Jamaica, such as Tarrus Riley, Dean Fraser and Shaggy!

Shaggy to perform at the Cricket League Twenty20 Opening Ceremony
Shaggy, Chaka Khan, Jamelia, Chinese martial-arts skilled shaolin monks, Kerela’s kalaripayattu artists and Japanese drummers and dancers will perform at the 30 minutes opening ceremony of the Champions League Twenty20 on October 8. Shaggy will perform his official UEFA EURO 2008 #1 hit single Feel the Rush! He will be accompanied by a multi-coloured laser show and eight wind dancers. Shaggy Tour news
Miami, Asian, Japanese (Tokyo), European (France and other countries) and Canadian Shaggy fans, here’s good news for you! Shaggy’s Myspace has been updated with tour news. It has been confirmed that Shaggy will perform on the world’s biggest block party in Miami, on the Calle Ocho Power 96 stage, tonight! Other artists to perform are Kevin Lyttle, Qwote, Tanto Metro & Devonte, Elijah, DJ Laz, Baby Bash, Brooke Hogan, David Rush, Charlie Hustle, Macallee King, Casely and Grind Mode. Go to the official Power 96 site for more info, or for other info visit Miami Time News and MetroMix.

Shaggy will tour Japan and other Asian countries starting June 13. After that, Shaggy will tour Europe in July and early August! He will head to France among others. In middle and late August, he will tour from Vancouver to Toronto in Canada! Details are still to be announced, so check back later for more updates!

Shaggy will also headline the Reeds Festival 2009 in Switzerland on July 24. You can read more on Zürcher Oberländer or the official Reeds Reggae Festival site. According to the Jungfrau Zeitung, he will also perform in the Kultlokal in Interlaken, Switzerland, on July 25.

Indian TV channel Zee Café will be among the tv stations having broadcast or broadcasting Planet Rock Profiles. Shaggy’s profile is in one of the emissions. Business of Cinema.
