Shaggy gave a special guest performance of Church Heathen at Tarrus Riley’s free pre-Christmas concert “Let Music Live” at Emancipation Park in Jamaica! He sang Church Heathen with Tarrus, Dean Fraser and band, he encouraged patrons to attend the upcoming Shaggy & Friends charity concert for the Bustamante Children’s Hospital and he brought Etana on stage.
You know what? Shaggy told the crowd that Tarrus Riley will be co-hosting the Shaggy & Friends charity concert for the Bustamante Hospital for Children on January 7!

Tonight: International Reggae and World Music Awards
Tonight the prestigious 2011 International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) will be held at the National Academy of Performing Arts in Port of Spain, Trinidad! Shaggy, who is nominated for four awards, and Tony Rebel are going to host the event. Machel Montano HD, Queen Ifrica, Freddy McGregor, Tarrus Riley, Beenie Man, Tifa, Dean Fraser, Macka Diamond, Denise Belfon and more will perform at the awards ceremony. Shaggy nominated for two Youth View Awards
Shaggy has been nominated for Celebrity Role Model (category 19) at the Youth View Awards 2011 for his extensive charity work for the Bustamente Hospital for Children and the Shaggy & Friends charity concerts! The 2010 charity concert raised JMD $31 million for the children hospital! Aside from organizing two huge charity concerts for the hospital, he has contributing equipment, time and money to the children’s hospital and other charities and causes for many years.
Besides his nomination for Celebrity Role Model, Shaggy is also nominated alongside Sean Paul and Mavado for Favourite local international artiste of the year (category 12).

Newly added upcoming tour dates
Shaggy will be in Dubai on April 7 and a second concert in Portugal in May has been added! Shaggy will also perform at a benefit concert for Connie Campbell with Tarrus Riley, Dean Fraser, Duane Stephenson and Sherita Lewis backed by the Blak Soil Band on April 18 in Maryland, US.
Connie Campbell Foundation concert
The Maryland concert on April 18 is a benefit show for backup singer Connie Campbell, who suffered multiple strokes resulting in locked-in syndrome. The concert is to raise funds for therapy. The number of people who came to view the show that took place on the lawn of Jamaica House on January 3 was very high. Artists who attended were among others Shaggy, Rik Rok, Rayvon, Na’Sha, Barrington Levy, Elephant Man, Macy Gray, D’Angel, Etana, Buju Banton, Luciano, Freddie McGregor, Tony Rebel, Tarrus Riley, Sean Paul, Allison Hinds, Ce’Cile, Christopher Martin, Marcia Griffiths, Da’Ville, Milk, Usain Bolt, Ity and Fancy Cat, Dean Fraser, Morgan Heritage and Lady Saw.
