Ali Campbell’s and Shaggy’s new song She’s a Lady
Shaggy, Lady Saw, Craig David, Sway and Gentleman are featured on Ali Campbell’s (the former lead singer and founding member of UB40) new solo album Flying High! The song by Ali Campbell featuring Shaggy is called She’s a Lady. The album will be in stores June, as well as Shaggy’s new single Fly High. The Chester Chronicle has a review of the album.

Shaggy wins Marcus Garvey Humanitarian Award at the IRAWMA 2009
Shaggy was honored with the Marcus Garvey Humanitarian Award at the IRAWMA 2009 (International Reggae And World Music Awards) for his humanitarian work! Shaggy has been supporting the the Bustamente Hospital for Children in Kingston, Jamaica for years and he organized Shaggy & Friends, a huge benefit concert, for the hospital, he recorded a single with fellow Jamaican artists, Save a Life, for the cause and did much, much more. Congratulations on a well deserved award to Shaggy!

Shaggy will perform at Fair Grounds in Botswana on Ascension Day, May 21. He’s the first international artist to visit the country since Shabba Ranks’ visit in 1994! Tickets will only be sold before the concert from Orange shops for P220 and P440, starting April 24. Botswana Daily News.
Uganda concert info
Shaggy will perform in Uganda on May 23, at the Orange Karnival that starts at 9 am at Shoprite Lugogo. Later that day, Shaggy will also perform at the afterparty at the Lugogo Cricket Oval at 4 pm. Shaggy’s and NeYo’s concert at Queen’s Park, Port Oval in Trinidad, today has been rescheduled to April 25, due to NeYo cancelling his part of the show. Shaggy and John Legend will perform on the new show on April 25! Trinidad Express.

Miami, Asian, Japanese (Tokyo), European (France and other countries) and Canadian Shaggy fans, here’s good news for you! Shaggy’s Myspace has been updated with tour news. It has been confirmed that Shaggy will perform on the world’s biggest block party in Miami, on the Calle Ocho Power 96 stage, tonight! Other artists to perform are Kevin Lyttle, Qwote, Tanto Metro & Devonte, Elijah, DJ Laz, Baby Bash, Brooke Hogan, David Rush, Charlie Hustle, Macallee King, Casely and Grind Mode. Shaggy will tour Japan and other Asian countries starting June 13. After that, Shaggy will tour Europe in July and early August! He will head to France among others. The Shaggy & Friends benefit concert for the Bustamente Hospital for Children was a huge success! The number of people who came to view the show that took place on the lawn of Jamaica House on January 3 was very high. Artists who attended were among others Shaggy, Rik Rok, Rayvon, Na’Sha, Barrington Levy, Elephant Man, Macy Gray, D’Angel, Etana, Buju Banton, Luciano, Freddie McGregor, Tony Rebel, Tarrus Riley, Sean Paul, Allison Hinds, Ce’Cile, Christopher Martin, Marcia Griffiths, Da’Ville, Milk, Usain Bolt, Ity and Fancy Cat, Dean Fraser, Morgan Heritage and Lady Saw. It’s different from the regular That Girl video and it features Shaggy, Maxi Priest and the cast from Baywatch, among others Pamela Anderson. I never watched Baywatch so I don’t know any of the other cast members’ names, so you can see for yourself. You can watch the video here!
