Maurice Boland and Hannah Murray interviewed Shaggy for Talk Radio Europe yesterday. Shaggy talked about his charity activities, being called “Shaggy”, Oh Carolina, Boombastic, It Wasn’t Me and how he has been supporting the Bustamente Hospital for Children in Kingston, Jamaica for nine years.

He also spoke about the new Shaggy & Friends concert in Jamaica on January 2, which features Joe, Ali Campbell, Babyface and many more and about hosting the Chain of Hope fund raiser in the UK yesterday.

Shaggy, Beenie Man, Lady Saw, Mighty Mystic, Bruck Up, Mad Bwoy, D’Arryval, Maverick and more artists performed at Mighty Mystic’s Birthday Bash at Club Lido in Revere, Massachusetts last night. Shaggy to perform at Dance for Climate Change concert, Denmark
The official Seal the Deal 2009 site announces that Shaggy, Akon, Denmark’s Rasmus Seebach, Nabiha, Austrian dance group My Excellence will perform at the Dance for Climate Change concert on December 7!

The concert takes place in the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark on the first day of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (also known as COP15 / MOP5). Tickets will be available at Billetlugen.

The concert will be broadcast in a live web stream as well as on several tv and radio stations. You can view a PSA about the concert on YouTube.

Update: ‘As’ on D4CC Facebook writes you can watch the concert live at CITV / Satcom C3. I can’t check this info, but if you have satellite television you could try to watch it there. The concert will be broadcast later by tv stations around the world, among others DK4 (a Danish tv station), and it will probably be uploaded to YouTube as well.

It looks like Shaggy will perform in Italy this month!

Shaggy, Rayvon, Gibraltar Music (this is Shaggy’s tour manager Paul “Rossi” Lee, I guess, Shaggy started out as a dj on this sound system!), Golden Bass and High Grade will perform at the Demodè Disco Club in Bari on November 26.

Shaggy will play Teatro Palapartenope / Casa della Musica in Napoli, Italy on November 27, according to Go2 and Campania Tickets, as well as Rastasnob.

Shaggy, Rayvon, Golden Bass and the Groove Society Band will do a concert at the Leoncavallo in Milan on November 28.

Street Bullies Riddim Mix video
A music video clip was shot for the Street Bullies Riddim! The video features Shaggy, Red Foxx, Christopher Martin, Ce’Cile and Vybz Kartel and was directed by Jay Will for Game Over Films. Carleene Samuels was the producer and the video was edited by I.AM.THE.KRITIK.

The video takes the viewers back to dancehalls from 1984 to 2009. First up in the video is Shaggy with Long Time. Then it’s Red Foxx ‘s turn with Bounce, followed by Chris Martin Vibe is Right, Ce’Cile Nah Stress and Vybz Kartel Slow Motion. You can watch the new video below!

Shaggy receives the Gleaner Honour Award!
The Jamaica Gleaner presented Shaggy with the Gleaner Honour Award for excellence in the category of voluntary service, for his extensive charity work for the Bustamente Hospital for Children. On January 1, a celebrity pre-party will be organized, featuring local artists, and on January 2 a new Shaggy & Friends charity concert will be organized! Papa San, Tanya Stephens, Michael Rose, Queen Ifrica, Sanchez, Ce’Cile, Toots Hibbert, Ding Dong, Cham, Machel Montano, Half Pint, Busy Signal, Beenie Man, US singer Joe and Ali Campbell (the former UB40 frontman) will perform!

Shaggy to perform at the Cricket League Twenty20 Opening Ceremony
Shaggy, Chaka Khan, Jamelia, Chinese martial-arts skilled shaolin monks, Kerela’s kalaripayattu artists and Japanese drummers and dancers will perform at the 30 minutes opening ceremony of the Champions League Twenty20 on October 8. Shaggy will perform his official UEFA EURO 2008 #1 hit single Feel the Rush! He will be accompanied by a multi-coloured laser show and eight wind dancers. The opening ceremony will take place at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore, India. Cric Info. Tickets are for sale at CLT20 Tickets / Ticket Genie. All matches and maybe the opening ceremony as well will be broadcast live on among others Willow TV (web stream) and ESPN Eurosport tv.

Shakti Love Fest on October 3
Shaggy will be at the Shakti Love Fest. The Shakti Love Fest is a charity event which will take place on October 2-4 in Kingston, Jamaica. It is hosted by the Shaggy Make a Difference Foundation, the Shakti Mind Body Fitness and Ocean Spray Wata and includes yoga, spinning, live music and more.
