Official Jamaica 50 song: Shaggy and others – On A Mission – to premiere today!
Shaggy invites YOU to the premiere of the official Jamaica 50 song I’m on a Mission! The song is set to premiere today at 4.15 P.M. on all Jamaican and diaspora radio and tv stations!

The official song for the 50th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence was produced by Shaggy and features some of Jamaica’s best-known international and local artistes: Shaggy, Assassin, Beres Hammond, Tarrus Riley, Damian Marley, Romain Virgo, Chevelle Franklin, Wayne Marshall, Tifa and Tessanne Chin.

The words of the song are a call to action that recounts Jamaica’s history, accomplishments and talents on the world stage. It urges all Jamaicans to pledge proudly, celebrate and Get ON IT as one… “On A Mission.”

The concert will serve as a 50th anniversary celebration for both Jamaica and Trinidad. It’s taking place at the conclusion of the annual Adidas Grand Prix where Caribbean track stars and other world elite athletes will compete.

Shaggy and crew have arrived in Colombo, Sri Lanka for their concert at the Ceylonese Rugby & Football Club today (April 28)!

Shaggy is scheduled to perform at 7.30 PM, so you’re advised to arrive at the CR&FC early (5 or 6PM would be great) to avoid long queues. The CR&FC gates open at 4PM.

Tickets will be available at the gates of the Ceylonese Rugby & Football Club starting at noon!
