Shaggy brings you the feel good vibes of Sugarcane for the summer of 2011. The video was all shot in Jamaica, in the areas of Port Royal, Falmouth, and Portland. Sugarcane was produced by Teflon the Producer. The Sugarcane Remix was produced by Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor. Both the original and the remix are great!

Shaggy launched his awesome new album Summer In Kingston on Saturday night at the Knutsford Boulevard in New Kingston, Jamaica. New Kingston was blocked off for the event and patrons were treated to a full-fledged stage show and the Sugarcane video launch. The concert and video were received with great enthusiasm!

Shaggy, Ity & Fancy Cat, Chino, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, Agent Sasco, QQ, Khago, Elephant Man, Bounty Killer, Ragashanti and Stone Love and Renaissance performed. Watch a video by the Jamaica Star with interviews and parts of concert below! Enjoy!

The great new album Summer in Kingston and the video for the awesome new Sugarcane will be launched with a free concert on July 16 at Knutsford Boulevard in Shaggy’s home country Jamaica!

Shaggy, Chino, Agent Sasco, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, Stone Love, Renaissance, the Tantrum Band, Ity and Fancy Cat and more will perform at this free concert, which starts at 7 PM. Now let’s take it back to 1990, when Shaggy was recording music while he was still in the Marines. This was long before he had his first hits with Oh Carolina, Big Up, Bombastic, Angel and more and before he recorded his first album Pure Pleasure. Shaggy showed his dj talent and skills in these early recordings already!
