You’ve seen photos of the video shoot, you’ve seen a short teaser, but you didn’t get to hear the song or watch the video… until now. Here it finally is: the long awaited for video for Shaggy & Sahara (Costi Ionita and Andrea) – Champagne! It’s time to pop bottles & enjoy the brand new video!

The video premiered this morning on Libertatea. It was filmed last year in Bulgaria, and actual work on the set lasted about 48 hours (view photos of the video shoot here). The editing was done by the Doctor’s team at Costi Ionita’s studio. The Champagne single will be launched for a first phase in 20 countries, including Romania, France, Germany, USA, Japan and Italy.

Shaggy hands over equipment to the Bustamente Hospital for Children
Shaggy handed over life saving equipment to the Bustamente Hospital for Children in Kingston, Jamaica a couple of days ago. Together with his daughter Sydney, Shaggy, the head of the Shaggy and Friends Make A Difference Foundation, looked through the operating microscope and handed over the equipment on the lawns of the hospital. Wanna hear more hot new Shaggy songs? Danny Pepperseed will play not one, but two brand new Shaggy tunes on his Dancehall Vibes show today! The show will be broadcast on Stadsradio Helmond on Wednesday December 3 at 22.00h Dutch time (GMT +1). There’s a live audio stream here!
The first new song is Bad Man Don’t Cry, for which a videowas released at Asylum Nite Club’s anniversary this Saturday. The song was produced by Robert Livingston, you can read part of the lyrics here.
The second brand new song that will be played on the Dancehall Vibes show is Hezron featuring Shaggy, Two Places at one Time. The song and riddim were produced by Danny Champagne, who is also in the Bad Man Don’t Cry video.

Shaggy Parrot and the Reggae Band
Shaggy contributed to a beautiful book-and-CD set for children, which introduces them in a fun way to reggae music and educates them about pollution! Shaggy Parrot and the Reggae Band is a book-and-CD set for children from ages 0 to 8 years old. The story is about a waterfall in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, that is polluted by people. The waterfall feels sad about the pollution, so a team of sea animals try to cheer it up. Shaggy Parrot, whose voice is read by Shaggy, and friends make reggae music while they help clean up the waterfall.
The book has beautiful illustrations and the CD features 9 music tracks by Shaggy. The sales will benefit two of Shaggy’s charities, St Andrew’s Bustamante Hospital for Children in Jamaica and the Tatiana McIntosh Scholarship fund based in Florida. Shaggy Parrot & the Reggae Band is set to be released in November this year; it will first be available in Jamaica, after which a release in the US will follow.

September 26 free concert in Zurich, Switzerland
Shaggy, Bligg and Elijah will perform on the 175 years of Zurich high schools’ existence celebration on this Friday, September 26. You can read more about it on Tages Anzeiger or the official site die Welt Verstehen and you can get tickets and more info about the open air concerts on die Welt Erleben. Shaggy’s performance is on the main stage and starts around 21.30h.
