Shaggy, Rahzel, Dez Duron, Jaiden, Bilal, India Irie, Pras, Elle Varner, Trombone Shorty, Childish Gambino and Bill Maher were among the artists to perform at the Grammy Awards weekend’s 8th annual The Roots Jam Session! Shaggy mashed up the place when he entered the stage singing Boombastic to Rahzel’s beatboxing, followed by a performance of Angel and It Wasn’t Me and a dancehall freestyle. Nominations for the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced last night by The Recording Academy. The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards ceremony will be held on February 12, 2012, at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Grammy Awards ceremony will be broadcast live in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on CBS from 8–11:30 P.M. (ET/PT).

Shaggy has been nominated for a Hype TV Music Award for his collab with Rik Rok on Bonafide Girl in the category Best Collaboration. He’s also up for a Grammy Award in the category Best Reggae Album for his new album Intoxication. Also, Shaggy has been nominated for a RETV MVP (Reggae Music Entertainment Television My Video Pic) Award for Video of the Year, Best Reggae Video and Best Music Video (Male) for Bad Man Don’t Cry. Shaggy is heading to Australia and New Zealand to perform on the Raggamuffin Festival 2009, after he performed on the Issimo Live Music Fusion Concert Series with Maxi Priest and Snow and after he attended Jazzy T’s Birthday Bash on West Palm Beach, Miami on Sunday, January 18, with Ce’Cile, Christopher Martin, Usain Bolt and more. Shaggy also attended Jamrock Magazine’s Jam with Squeeze party in New York on January 9. Jamrock Magazine has two photos.
Dubai, UAE concert and tickets info
