Shaggy and Pamputae were the special guests on Sunday’s Ity & Fancy Cat comedy show on TVJ! The show will probably be repeated today (Wednesday) at 11.30 PM local time on TVJ.

Barrington Levy and Shaggy recorded a new tune on the Hold You Riddim, which you might know from among others Gyptian’s hit song Hold Yuh. The song, which is called Only You, was produced by Sting Int’l and you can listen to it right here!

Only You is not the only tune Shaggy recorded with Barrington Levy. For Shaggy’s 2005 Clothes Drop album, Shaggy and Barrington Levy recorded Broadway and for Shaggy’s 2002 Lucky Day album, they recorded the song Full Control.

I am Jamaica
Reggae artists Hopeton Lindo, Shaggy, Freddie McGregor, Marcia Griffiths, Courtney John, Peter Gee, Fiona, Sophia Brown and Anthony Cruz recorded the theme song for the I am Jamaica campaign, which aims at inspiring Jamaicans at home and abroad in support of a better and unified Jamaica.

The song was produced by Hopeton Lindo and the accompanying video was directed by Lukkee Chong and Max Earle of Frame by Frame Productions. All artists volunteered their time and all proceeds from the song will go towards various charities in Jamaica.

Shaggy and Sahara (Costi Ionita and Andrea) are shooting a video in Bulgaria for their new (forthcoming) collaboration Champagne!

They worked together before with DJ Bob Sinclar on on I Wanna, one of the hot summer dance tunes of 2010! I Wanna is featured on Bob Sinclar’s 2010 album Made in Jamaica.

Sean Kingston and Nicki Minaj recently shot a video for their new single “Letting Go (Dutty Love)”. Shaggy, Wayne Marshall, Tami Chynn, Voicemail, Ian Goodison, Barbee, Baby G, John John, Ding Dong and other Jamaican entertainers will make a special cameo appearance in the video! The video was directed by Little X and made at James Avenue in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
