The fourth annual Excellence in Music and Entertainment (EME) Awards nominations have been announced. Shaggy is nominated for “Male DJ of the Year (for a solo vocal performance)”, “Top International Artist of the Year”, “Recording Artist of the Year”, “Best Collaboration of the Year” for his collaboration with Rik Rok on Bonafide Girl and “Best Song of the Year” for Church Heathen. Shaggy’s manager and producer for the Big Yard Music Group, Robert Livingston, has been nominated for “Best Producer of the Year in Reggae” and “Best Producer of the Year in Dancehall”.
The EME Awards will kick off on Thursday, February 7 with a live broadcast on HOT102 FM from the Gardens of the Jamaica Pegasus hotel. The show will also be recorded and broadcast on CVM TV. Thanks to Source.

The Natalia Meets… En Vogue feat. Shaggy concert series in Antwerp, Belgium has been a huge success. It’s not known yet when a DVD of the concerts will hit the stores, but Natalia’s official site announced that a DVD will indeed be released. So I guess that’s good news for all Natalia, En Vogue and Shaggy fans, especially if you attended the concert.

VTM and Een
Belgian TV Station VTM broadcast an item on yesterday’s opening show and a couple of people told me the Shaggy interview was pretty funny. The video might be online later today or tomorrow and if so, I’ll put the link to the video on here. De Rode Loper on Belgian TV station Een will have a review and glimpse of the show’s premiere tomorrow at 18.10h Antwerp time tomorrow.
Natalia Druyts, En Vogue and Shaggy rehearsed yesterday and today for the first time for their upcoming concert series Natalia Meets… En Vogue feat. Shaggy. TV Program “De rode loper” was present at the rehearsals and will broadcast something on Belgian TV station Een at 18.10h tonight Belgian time (repeated tomorrow Saturday January 5 at 15.20h).
Natalia’s official site has photos of the repetitions including Natalia, En Vogue, Shaggy, Paul Lee Rossy and more!
Update “De rode loper” on “Een” will also broadcast a review of the opening night of the Natalia Meets… En Vogue feat. Shaggy concert series on Monday January 7 at 18.10h Brussels time (repetition on the next day Tuesday January 8 at 12.10h).
According to Natalia’s official site Shaggy arrived in Belgium today for the upcoming Natalia Meets… En Vogue feat. Shaggy concert series. Michael Fletcher, bass guitarist from Shaggy’s crew, has been preparing the concerts for a couple of days and you can see more pics of him and others if you click on “Gallery” in Natalia’s official site and then go to “Natalia meets: work in progress” to “the countdown: dag 4” and the other galleries in between.
On New Year’s Eve, Shaggy performed in Bermuda together with Collie Buddz and here are some more videos of Shaggy’s New Year’s Eve concert. You can find part I of the videos including Shaggy’s performance with Collie Buddz here.
