Shaggy wins Best Music Video award
Shaggy won the award for best music video for Church Heathen at the International Reggae and World Music Awards in New York on May 4 2008, congratulations Shaggy! Source and photo.

Shaggy will walk the red carpet and partcipate on stage at the 27th Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards, at the famous Apollo Theatre in New York, on Sunday, May 4. Shaggy is nominated in 4 categories (best album, best song, best video and best male dj/rapper). Errol Brown, recording engineer for Bob Marley, will be inducted into the IRAWMA Hall of Fame. Other artists who will be presenting and performing at the IRAWMA are Janet Hubert (Vivian Banks, the mom on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air), Etana, Ky-Mani Marley, Beenie Man, Doug E Fresh, Tarrus Riley, Machel Montano, Billy Ocean, Sean Kingston, Miss Jamaica 2007, Buju Banton, Macka Diamond, Lady G, Claudelle Clarke, Tony Rebel, Lady Ann, Dean Fraser, Winsome Benjamin, D’Angel, Queen Ifrika, Mutabaruka, Cecile, Junior Reid, Shelia Hylton, and Dwight Pickney.

Elephant Man celebrated the release of Let’s Get Physical, his long-awaited 2008 album, yesterday in New York City. Let’s Get Physical features a lot of guest artists, among whom Shaggy and Busta Rhymes on “The Way We Roll”, Wyclef Jean on “Five-O” and “Five-O Remix”, Chris Brown on “Feel the Steam”, Jah Jah and Kat DeLuna on “Body Talk”, Rihanna on “Throw Your Hands Up”, Swizz Beatz on “Jump”, “Who Wanna” and “Five-O Remix”, Yung Joc and Assassin on the “Five-O Remix”, Mario Winans on “Back That Thing on Me (Shake That)” and DeMarco on “Our World”.

Shaggy at Reggae By the Beach in Valencia, Spain
Shaggy will be one of the special guests at the first ever Reggae By the Beach Festival on May 17 in Valencia, Spain. Also to perform are Beenie Man, MC Daddy Ernie from Choice FM and Chris Goldfinger from BBC Radio1. Reggae by the Beach will be held by 39º27N (Thirty Nine degrees Twenty Seven North) overlooking the beach of Valencia, in the Port of America’s Cup. Shaggy at Romantic Rhythms Festival, Antigua
Mister Lover Lover Shaggy will be headlining the International Music Festival “Romantic Rhythms” in Antigua, which will be held from June 12-15. The festival will have dancehall reggae, jazz, R&B, classic soul, gospel, soca, zouk and pan music among others. The DVD of Shaggy’s January 2008 performances in Antwerp, Belgium for the Natalia Meets… En Vogue feat. Shaggy concert series will be released starting at April 8. The DVD will be available ONLY and exclusively with the Belgian weekly “Dag Allemaal” (so you won’t be able to get it from the regular cd and dvd shops)! The Dag Allemaal is available in Belgian stores as well as in some Dutch book and magazine stores.
Dag Allemaal will offer the Natalia Meets… dvd as part of its April release of the Antwerp concert venue Sportpaleis’ coverage dvd series, which will feature Natalia meets…En Vogue feat. Shaggy on April 8, Marco Borsato on April 15, Soulsister on April 22 and Frans Bauer featuring Belle Perez on April 29.
