Shaggy is going to return to Malaysia for the “Live & Loud KL 07”. LNLKL07 is one of the biggest – if not the biggest – of the South Asian festivals which also include the Singfest in Singapore where Shaggy & Cyndi Lauper rocked the stage earlier this year. Other artists who will be at the festival are Whitney Houston, Elliot Yamin, K-Ci & Jojo, James Morrison, Jaclyn Victor, Adibah Noor, Hannah Tan and Dionne Warwick. The festival will take place between November 23 and December 2 2007. Tickets will be available from mid-October. The event is organised by Live & Loud Sdn Bhd and endorsed by the Tourism Ministry.
Shaggy will be on several big late night shows to promote his upcoming album Intoxication. On November 13, he will perform his new single Bonafide Girl feat. Rik Rok and Tony Gold at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. On November 14, he will perform at the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson as well as talk to Tavis Smiley. On November 15, Shaggy will also do tv promotions in LA. Sounds pretty exciting!
Shaggy is going to party with his Japanese fans to celebrate the release of his new 2007 album Intoxication. He will return to Japan for the Intoxication album release partieson October 26 and 27 (sorry European fans, Shaggy won’t be in Europe those days!). Shaggy and Rayvon will perform at the Intoxicated Fever Specialat ageHa in Tokyo on Friday, October 26, where DJ’s Maverick, Maximum and Interceptor will also be present. The next day Shaggy and Rayvon as well as Killasan Movement sound system and more will be at the Intoxicating album release party at Good Time Special at Club I to I in Osaka.
The Jamaica Gleaner has an article about Shaggy’s Big Yard Music Group Studio’s in Jamaica and interviews of Big Yard’s Kamal Evans and Patsy Dixon. If you wanna know more about the sounds, the people and the studio, go read the article. Photo visuals are at the BBC or watch the video below.

European Tour 2007 and Bonafide Intoxication release dates
European Shaggy fans hold on… Shaggy will tour Europe from mid-October to half-November of this year! No concert dates, performances, award shows, Intoxication release parties, press gigs or album signing sessions are known (or rather, confirmed) yet, but this information seems to be pretty accurate!
Shaggy’s new single Bonafide is set for release on October 15, the same day he will receive his Distinction in the Rank of Commander, the highest Jamaican Order of Distinction, in an award ceremony in Jamaica on Jamaican National Heroes Day.
Shaggy’s album Intoxication is pushed back for a release somewhat as I already told you back in July / August – German record stores write they will have a 16-track Intoxication album on October 5, other European countries might follow on October 22 or 23 and the US and the Caribbean will finally get a probably 17-track Intoxication cd including the bonus track Yuh A Move Hype instead of Wrong Move on November 13 2007.

There was still a question as to whether Shaggy would be able to host and perform at the MOBO Awards 2007 show yesterday, but that apparently got worked out. Shaggy’s hosting the MOBO’s was pretty funny… and his performance was very good as well: a mix of Boombastic, Church Heathen, Bonafide and It Wasn’t Me. Robbo Ranx played the new Hard Beat Riddim by Big Yard yesterday, including Shaggy’s Who A Wear Di Jacket and Rayvon’s Games We Play (which is also on the Stock Track Riddim). I read that a couple of this blog’s readers want to know where you can listen to them again after hearing them on Danny Pepperseed’s Dancehall Vibes or Robbo Ranx’s Dancehall Splurt: if you haven’t heard the new 2007 Shaggy song Jacket or Rayvon’s remix of Games We Play you can listen to it on Tuesday’s Dancehall Splurt until a week from now.
Another new Shaggy song, the Shaggy and Ninja Man combination “A Nuh You, A Nuh Me” tune on the Take Protection Riddim a.k.a. Big Yard riddim (which also features Rayvon Sorry Fi Dem, D-Linx My Girl and Wayne Fire More Gal), is in (some) stores now.
