October 23 - Riddim Soundclash 2007
Did I mention Shaggy was a busy boy on October 20? I have to correct myself: he was a VERY busy boy, he did even more than two shows that day. He went to and from England for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2007, he raced in the Stock Car Challenge 2007 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany and he also represented at the Riddim Soundclash 2007 in Dusseldorf, Germany - the sound clash between world famous David Rodigan, Sentinel Sound and Black Scorpio warmed up by Pow Pow Movement. Shaggy performed as a surprise guest. Oh yeah, David Rodigan once again won the Dub Fi Dub. Picture and article at riddim.de.

October 21 Part IV - Shaggy tv interview video
Prosieben (TV Total, et cetera) has a tv interview video with Shaggy online! You can watch it right here (click on "Interview mit Shaggy") - the page also has some cool pics of Shaggy and more. Shaggy talks about his new 2007 album Intoxication, Church Heathen, the Bonafide Girl video shoot and more. The video also shows Shaggy walking around and taking pictures with people. Some parts of the interview:
Rockstar lifestyle?
When asked about his nickname Mr Lover Lover in contrast with not leading the rockstar kind of lifestyle, Shaggy says he understands why people would welcome that kind of life, but being in the game as long as Shaggy has, things get old. His nickname Mr Lover Lover doesn't relate as much to his alleged lifestyle as it does to the type of music he makes. Make-baby music that is. Initially when he went into music, being a successfull performing artist was a big reason though since he got in to clubs free, he got drinks for free and he got the hottest chick every night.
Private life
Shaggy likes to keep his personal life private, especially now that he has kids. He does tell though that he has three children, two boys and one girl, who go to public school just like Shaggy did himself when he was a kid, he's seeing someone, he has 7 large dogs (he used to have 9) and 3 homes but he doesn't spend a lot of time at any of them since he does a lot of concert touring - which sometimes makes him forget in what city he's in exactly.
Clothes
Shaggy employs a young lady who buys his clothes, but he's the one who mainly puts his outfits together. She shows him the clothes since he doesn't do department stores or like shopping, but he likes nice things - like clothes.
October 21 Part III - More videos of Shaggy at the Stock Car Challenge 2007
Shaggy took part in yesterday's Stock Car Challenge 2007 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, in a 3000ccm Ford Capri for Team Napster and he reached the 4th place (speed) / 8th place (2nd part). You can watch videos of Shaggy being interviewed and racing at the TV Total video page, the videos of the Stock Car Challenge Qualifying are available at Friday's videos. As for the videos of the Stock Car Challenge, Shaggy is in several! Shaggy raced in the 3000ccm class, so the videos he's in are the ones that say they're about the "3000ccm", including "Die Konigsklasse vor dem Start" and "Der krönende Abschluss" (the last part of the last video is NSFW/NSFS). Enjoy!

July 10, October 7 - Shaggy in Germany interviews, first tour date, German Intoxication and live dvd release
Interviews are only on http://shaggy.v3x.biz, so please credit with a link to this site where credit is due if you
want a part of this!
Now that Shaggy's new 2007 album Intoxication has been released in Germany as well as the Shaggy live in concert at the Chiemsee Reggae Festival 1998 dvd,
there's a lot of interesting interviews to hear and read.
First up, is an interview by unikosmos.de, a German student magazine, in which Shaggy claims to be
a lesbian and tells all about reggae, ganja (Hanf), his music and his journey in the music industry, collaborating with artists like Janet Jackson versus
collaborations with artists like Akon, religion, women, Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel and women again (I don't think the last part of the article is entirely
correct but I'm not sure). It also has three cool pictures of Mr. Boombastic! The interview.
Big Up Magazine has an audio interview with Shaggy, where he also sings parts of songs he wrote for Maxi Priest (I Believe in Love) and Brian and Tony Gold
(Irresistible) as well as some of his own tunes (Yuh a Move Hype, Wild 2Nite and Bonafide)! He also speaks about his experiences with the major record
companies, songs for the streets and the more commercial type of songs, Stefan Raab and of course his new album Intoxication. You can download the mp3
podcast of the interview on this page (use the first mp3 link)!
Then there are still several audio interviews which Shaggy did back in July, in between performing in Italy in several night clubs like Nabilah in Napoli, at
TRL and at the Rototom Sunsplash 2007 that I had held back from linking until Shaggy's Intoxication album finally has been released in Deutschland. You can
download a mp3 podcast from an item with Shaggy at KISS
FM. Radio Multikulti also did a radio interview with Shaggy, which you can download from their podcast list. They also have a picture of Shaggy in the
studio in the accompanying article. When you click on "Bilder"
("Images") under the heading "Ansehen" ("Take a look") on the right, there are nine hot pics of Shaggy live in the radio station's studio!
Radio Eins also interviewed Mr. Lover Lover - you can listen to the interview in Real Media Format (.rm/.ra) or download the podcast from Podcaster.de. There's a pic of Shaggy in the Radio Eins studio on this page.
Shaggy's Live at Chiemsee Reggae Summer DVD and bonus CD were also recently released in Germany. Streetclip.de bought the broadcasting rights and broadcast the whole concert several times on September 25 (sorry I didn't link this earlier!). Here's the final cover art.
Shaggy's German Intoxication album is a 16-track album and has the following track listing:
1. Can't Hold Me 2. Bonafide Girl Feat. Rik Rok & Tony Gold 3. Intoxication 4. Those Days Feat. Nasha 5. More Woman 6. Woman Scorn Feat. Nasha 7. Mad Mad World Feat. Sizzla Kalonji & Collie Buddz 8. Out Of Control Feat. Rayvon 9. Church Heathen 10. Wear Di Crown Feat. Mischieve 11. Criteria 12. Body A Shake 13. What’s Love Feat. Akon 14. Holla At You 15. All About Love 16. Reggae Vibes (Bonus)
We already mentioned Stefan Raab - guess what, Shaggy will be at Stefan Raab's TV Total's Stock Car Crash Challenge 2007 on October 20, 2007 in the
Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. You can read more about Stefan Raab's show here or buy your tickets from either of the pages linked from the bottom of Veltins-Arena page. (someone who doesn't want his or her name mentioned mailed me that Sarah.88 already wrote about this on the Big Yard forum, so props to her!)
Shaggy will also be on the European (not just German!) Eurosport Buzz on October 17 at 08.45h Amsterdam/Berlin/Brussels/Paris time (the show was broadcast before on September 29, September 30, October 2 and October 6 among others). Eurosport Buzz is a new sports and lifestyle television magazine that airs what’s hot in entertainment and sports and shows its viewers a more personal, private side of the life of VIPs. The 30 minutes tv program features an interview with Mr Lover Lover a.k.a. Mr Boombastic, Shaggy!
And as for older Shaggy interviews and interviews not just from Germany, you can go to the Blues and Soul Magazine, Riddim.de page 1, 2 and 3 (also featuring commentary by Paul Lee a.k.a. Rossy , Shaggy's road manager - I don't know if I'm spelling this correctly), Zangtalent.be (a Lumidee interview who also has a lot of good stuff to say about Shaggy), and you can read more about Shaggy's performance at the Madison Square Gardens here. Belgian singer Natalia, with whom Shaggy and En Vogue are going to perform in the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium in January 2008, recently performed Boombastic on stage. October 3 - Shaggy in Kuala Lumpur
Shaggy is going to return to Malaysia for the "Live & Loud KL 07". LNLKL07 is one of the biggest - if not the biggest - of the South Asian festivals which also include the Singfest in Singapore where Shaggy & Cyndi Lauper rocked the stage earlier this year. Other artists who will be at the festival are Whitney Houston, Elliot Yamin, K-Ci & Jojo, James Morrison, Jaclyn Victor, Adibah Noor, Hannah Tan and Dionne Warwick. The festival will take place between November 23 and December 2 2007. Tickets will be available from mid-October. The event is organised by Live & Loud Sdn Bhd and endorsed by the Tourism Ministry.
Shaggy will be on several big late night shows to promote his upcoming album Intoxication. On November 13, he will perform his new single Bonafide Girl feat. Rik Rok and Tony Gold at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. On November 14, he will perform at the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson as well as talk to Tavis Smiley.
