Digicel asked Shaggy and producer Christopher Birch to write and produce a song to raise money for the Digicel Haiti Relief Fund. Shaggy and Christopher Birch quickly went into the studio and wrote and produced Rise Again, which will be released today!
Artists featured on Rise Again are Jamaican, Barbadian, Trinidadian and Haitian artists including Shaggy, Sean Paul, Sean Kingston, Alison Hinds, Shontelle Layne, Edwin Yearwood, David Rudder, Kees Dieffenthaller, Destra Garcia, Tessanne Chin, Etana and Belo!
Shaggy says about the release of the song: "Rise Again is for the people of Haiti. It is to show them that we are here for them and that we will support them each step of the way as they begin rebuilding their lives which were shattered by the earthquake. I am very proud of this song and the collaboration with Digicel. With today's launch of Rise Again, we can raise much needed funds to support the relief efforts in Haiti."

January 24 - New video shoot: I Wanna!
Shaggy, Costa Ionita, Andrea (Sahara) and Bob Sinclar will shoot a video for their hot new single I Wanna in early February at the beaches in Jamaica! The song is already expected to become one of the biggest summer hits of 2010! Libertatea. Shaggy was interviewed by the Sunday Times about how he likes to perform for the second time in a row at the Raggamuffin Festival, about his charity work and about Jamaican music. Interview article. Shaggy, Ding Dong, Tifa, Aidonia, Elephant Man, Voicemail, Etana, G-Whizz, Tessanne Chin and more artists will perform at the Youth View Awards 2010! And that's not all, Shaggy has been nominated for awards in the categories of Celebrity Role Model and Local International Artiste of the Year!
