Shaggy & Friends concert
Here’s more info about the upcoming 2010 Shaggy & Friends concert! The concert is a huge event in benefit of the Bustamente Hospital for Children in Kingston, Jamaica, which is the only pediatric children’s hospital in the West Indies. Its facilities to provide adequate care for sick children are stretched to the limit due to a lack of resources. Although Shaggy has made significant contributions to the hospital over the years, the Bustamante Hospital for Children is still in need of assistance.

The Shaggy & Friends concert which will take place on the lawns of Jamaica House on January 2, will feature Shaggy with special guests Joe, Mario Winans, Boyz II Men, Mykal Rose, Beenie Man, Baby Cham, Queen Ifrica, Ding Dong, Toots Hibberts, Busy Signal, Tanya Stephens, T.O.K., Alaine, Ce’Cile, Machel Montano, Sanchez and many more!

Shaggy to perform at Dance for Climate Change concert, Denmark
The official Seal the Deal 2009 site announces that Shaggy, Akon, Denmark’s Rasmus Seebach, Nabiha, Austrian dance group My Excellence will perform at the Dance for Climate Change concert on December 7!

The concert takes place in the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark on the first day of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (also known as COP15 / MOP5). Tickets will be available at Billetlugen.

The concert will be broadcast in a live web stream as well as on several tv and radio stations. You can view a PSA about the concert on YouTube.

Update: ‘As’ on D4CC Facebook writes you can watch the concert live at CITV / Satcom C3. I can’t check this info, but if you have satellite television you could try to watch it there. The concert will be broadcast later by tv stations around the world, among others DK4 (a Danish tv station), and it will probably be uploaded to YouTube as well.

A music video clip was shot for the Street Bullies Riddim! The video features Shaggy, Red Foxx, Christopher Martin, Ce’Cile and Vybz Kartel and was directed by Jay Will for Game Over Films. Carleene Samuels was the producer and the video was edited by I.AM.THE.KRITIK.

The Jamaica Gleaner presented Shaggy with the Gleaner Honour Award for excellence in the category of voluntary service, for his extensive charity work for the Bustamente Hospital for Children. Shaggy will be at the Shakti Love Fest. The Shakti Love Fest is a charity event which will take place on October 2-4 in Kingston, Jamaica. It is hosted by the Shaggy Make a Difference Foundation, the Shakti Mind Body Fitness and Ocean Spray Wata and includes yoga, spinning, live music and more. Tour news, new Shaggy song Long Time

Tour schedule update: Romania
Shaggy will perform at the Turabo Society Club in Bucharest, Romania on July 10. You can get more info at the club site.

Concert info: Portugal
Shaggy will perform on the Top FM Beach Party in Porto, Portugal, on August 8. You can find more info and win tickets on the Top FM Beach Party site. He will also perform a concert at the Sudoeste Festival on August 7 in Zambujeira do Mar, Portugal. Sudoeste info.

New Shaggy song: Long Time on the Street Bullies Riddim
Shaggy’s new song Long Time is one of the tunes on Big Yard’s new Street Bullies Riddim. It sounds cool! The riddim features Shaggy (Long Time), Elephant Man (Poverty), Christopher Martin (Vibe is Right), Vybz Kartel (Slow Motion), Cecile (Nah Stress over Man), Lord Kossity (Like Me), Red Fox (Bounce), Beenie Man (Humility) and a tribute to the late Michael Jackson. It’s a remix by Sting Int’l of Michael Jackson’s They Don’t Really Care About Us that really hits hard. The riddim was produced by Tony Kelly. Boomshots.
